Health surveillance detects ill health at an early stage allowing employers to introduce better controls to prevent them getting worse and enabling employees to raise concerns about how work affects their health.
Health Surveillance can also highlight lapses in workplace control measures. It is also invaluable time spent with the employees in educating, refreshing them on the impact of health effects and the use of protective equipment.
